What's involved in a Static Line Course?

The Static Line Course is the cheaper way to learn to skydive but takes a
longer period of time.

After the ground training your first jump will be from 3000 ft. Your
parachute opens automatically by a static line attached to the plane before
you jump. You will then fly your parachute to the ground with guidance
from the ground crew.

After 5 static line jumps you will do a short free fall jump to build up
your confidence. Each proceeding jump will then follow from a higher
altitude allowing you to freefall for longer before opening the parachute.

Total number of jumps in this course is 17 and it will take you a couple
of weeks (full time) to complete.

After the course you can opt to go for your
A-license. This license is
recognized internationally, although in some countries you may have to
demonstrate your skill in two or three evaluation jumps. To get it you
have to learn how to pack your own parachute and how to land within
designated area.
